AWS services like Elastic Load Balancing and Auto-Scaling were utilized to manage varying loads efficiently. Jenkins and SaltStack technologies were employed for automated code deployment and infrastructure management. The new system processes 600,000 transactions per day, significantly enhancing operational efficiency. Infrastructure procurement and setup times were reduced from weeks to hours, lowering overall costs. The Java-based system allows for easier augmentation of new developers and improved batch performance through horizontal scaling. The transformation ensured minimal disruption to day-to-day operations, maintaining service continuity for the families dependent on child support.
